– African Proverb

In School Programs

We offer dance residencies of 15- or 30-weeks that yield collaboration between the classroom teacher and TIKoRO teaching artist. The program integrates the arts and community-building principles that will inspire students and supports them with the school curriculum.

After-School Programs

TIKoRO teaching artists will lead the students into creative dance movements and build a foundation that gives access to communication and expression. This program helps participants problem-solve and inspire one another through their creative processes. It offers students to learn to trust and develop their own artistic voices through support from the community.

Workshops

In TIKoRO’s dance workshops, we explore a true meaning of cooperation, board of members, and teamwork through various creative movement exercises and community-building activities.

Assemblies

and LecDems

TIKoRO conveys a symbol of cooperation and teamwork. This is on full display during the Lecture demonstration. TIKoRO takes the students through an African musical and dance journey. This is a fun historical account where students get to participate, starting from traditional African drumming to modern Afrobeat.
